Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Infiniti Q50- Video

We're going to be taking a look at the CURT trailer hitch receiver here for our 2015 Infiniti Q50.So this is what our CURT trailer hitch looks installed. It's going to be an excellent option here for our Q50. It's going to allow us to tow a trailer if we want to go camping, or it's going to allow us to carry some bikes or some extra cargo, if we need to free up space inside the vehicle, or we want to go hit the trails.So this hitch has a Class 1 rating, which is going to provide us with a one and a quarter inch receiver tube opening. Now the hitch has a 2000 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is going to be how much we can pull on our fully-loaded trailer. It also has a 200 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward force here on the receiver tube opening.Please keep in mind, although our trailer hitch does have a 2000 pound gross trailer weight rating, we need to check with the vehicle's owner's manual to ensure A, that the vehicle can actually tow a trailer, and B, that the capacity exceeds that of the hitch. more

It is going to sit right below the bumper but the only part we're really going to see is in that little cutout section, because our hitch is going to fit perfectly right there. It has a really clean, almost factory look to it.It's going to give us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to give us the widest variety of options when we want to mount up accessories. Obviously you can tow a trailer, put a ball mount in there or if we need to make room on the inside we could put a cargo carrier back here. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2010 Infiniti QX56.Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. Now the cross tube is going to sit below the bumper, right here in the center, but on the sides it is going to be hidden, so it has a pretty nice clean factory look to it.Now it is going to be a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening and have the widest variety of accessories that we can mount up. Obviously with a trailer hitch we can put a ball mount in there if we want to tow a trailer, but if we need to make some room on the inside we could put a cargo carrier back here, move that gear to the outside or possibly even just take some friends with us, put a bike rack carrier in here and hit the trails.Regardless of how we're going to be using our hitch though all of our accessories are going to mount through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Now the hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8" pin and clip. Now these are not going to come with the hitch but you can find them here at eTrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure and anti-rattle devices to cut down on that rattle, and shake, coming from the receiver tube when we're driving down the road.If you ar going to be towing a trailer obviously you need a spot to hook your safety chains. more

On the bottom we have our safety chain loops in the plate style, with a fairly large opening that should accommodate most safety chains. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Infiniti JX35 - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2013 Infinity JX35 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76031. With this hitch I like the clean look that it maintains, but it gives you very good usability and functionality. It gives a pretty nice, clean look and the face of the receiver tube opening here is nice and flush with the rearmost part of the bumper, so it doesn't protrude out but it does come out far enough that it's going to give you plenty of clearance for any of your hitch mounted accessories. Here it's got the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening with nice reinforcement collar welded to the outside here. It's got 2 pin holes, it's got the standard 5/8 inch hitch pin hole that's going to be used to secure all your accessories. Then the smaller 1/2 inch hole which is there for use with a J pin stabilization system. Got the steel plate that's welded on the underside in order to make the safety chain connection point. more

Today on our 2013 Infiniti JX35 we're going to be taking a look at and also showing you how to install the Curt custom-fit class 3 trailer hitch receiver. This offers the 2 inch by 2 inch opening. Part number C13126. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we get it installed on our JX35. As you can see, we're going to have a completely hidden cross tube here. Really going to keep the back of the car looking nice but still giving us a very useful class 3 hitch. We've got our 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Infiniti G37 - Draw-Tite- Video

Today on our 2010 Infiniti G37, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Sportframe Class I trailer hitch receiver, Part number: 24831. Here's what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it comes out pretty flush to the rear fascia here. You're not really adding anything to the rear of the vehicle, but that does give you really good accessibility. It's very well tucked away. All you can see is the back of the receiver tube up to the front of the receiver tube and these safety chain loops here. This hitch features a 200 pound max tongue weight rating and a 2,000 gross trailer weight rating. more

Today on our 2006 Infinity G35, we're going to take a look at, then show you how to install the Curt custom fit class one trailer hitch receiver. Part number is C11482. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once installed. Really clean look. You don't see a whole lot of it hanging down here from underneath the vehicle or anything like that. This is a class one, so we've got an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening. It hugs right up against the bottom side of the vehicle here as you can see. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Infiniti FX35 - Curt- Video

Today on our 2006 Infinity FX35, we're going to be installing a curt hitch part number 13558. Before we can begin installation, we'll need to go ahead and remove your rock guards on both rear and lower quarter panels. There are multiple fasteners that we'll need to remove for each. With the passenger side done, we'll move over to the driver's side. With the rock guards removed, we now need to go ahead and lower the exhaust. To do this, we'll remove the brackets putting the exhaust in place at the rear of the driver and passenger sides then we'll remove your rubber isolator in front of the muffler. more

From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 6". From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10-1/4". Now we'll go ahead and with installation. Now to begin our install we'll first need to locate and make a mark underneath the lower fascia at the center of the vehicle using the rear vehicle emblem or two equal marks on either side, measuring and making a mark. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Infiniti FX50 - Curt- Video

Today on our 2009 Infiniti FX50 we're going to be installing Curt Hitch, Part Number 13554. Before begin our installation here are a few measurements to help you when selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost part of the bumper measures 5-1/4 inches and from the top of the receiver tube to the ground measures 13-3/4 inches. Now let's go ahead with our install. To begin our installation, we'll need to remove the rear splash guards from the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. We'll remove the underbody panels by removing these bolts and push pin fasteners on both sides. This will allow us to remove the guards and place them aside for re-installation later. We'll now go ahead and remove the tow hook here from the driver's side. more

Today on our 2005 Infinite G35 we'll be installing the Curt hitch, part number C11482. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 4 3/4 inches. From the inside of the top of the receiver 2 opening to the ground is 10 3/4 inches. This will assist your selecting accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. Now let's go ahead with installation. Our first step would be opening up the rear trunk. Then we'll go ahead and remove the inner liners and spare tire. Now with the spare tire removed we gain access to the 2 grommets in the front of the wheel well of the spare tire. more
